Paul and Sarah Edwards 2009  Founded by Paul and Sarah Edwards, Pathways to
  Transition
provides  information, resources and support
for individuals, organizations, and governments wishing to
respond creatively to the social, economic, and
environmental changes of resource depletion and global
  warming.

  Transition
is about creating communities and lifestyles that
increase personal well-being, community resilience and environmental health. Finding a way of life
where there is ample for all without waste or excess. It’s not about material possessions or income so much as about state a mind in which one can rest assured of having the basics of life – a sustaining livelihood, a place to call home, enough to eat, good health, access to education, and the time to enjoy them in a safe and robust natural environment.

But we are an increasingly anxious and troubled world.

Not since 1928 at the doorway to the Great Depression has the inequality gap between the rich and the poor been as wide as it is today. Many people are scrambling to stay afloat. Most are in debt. Many worry about losing their jobs, their homes, their health insurance, and financial security. Others already have. All these threats are a natural consequence of an unsustainable way of life that is not only eroding and depleting the natural environment upon which we depend for our very lives, but also eroding our own health and well-being.

Pathways to Transition's programs include News Updates, Opinion Blogs, Policy Proposals, a Book Store, resources, and an umbrella for the related services for proactively creating sustainable personal and community lives, including: Public Affairs Services, Personal Counseling, and Continuing Education for Helping Professionals.
